This book is real quick to read and if you have a weak stomach then you shouldn't read it. It explores Tupac's life of growing up in the ghetto, heavily talks about police killing black men. He wrote poems to women that were close to him you get to see another side of Tupac. A lot of special people helped make this book like his mum, Afeni Shakur. His sister Nikki Giovanni wrote the foreward along with his manager that wrote the introduction. They really touch on what he was like and what his values were like before he passed away and how intelligent he really was.

The story follows the two main characters, Stevie Thomas and Susan Carol Anderson. Both kids are in junior high and winners of the U.S. Basket ball Writers Association essay contest. As winners of the contest, Stevie and Susan Carol act as student reports covering the Final Four in New Orleans. They just happen to be in the right place at the right time to over hear some information that the star player is being black mailed. The fake students Stevie, Susan and Carol aren't sure what to do with the information they have. Even though the main characters in this book are girls I still enjoyed.
